The linseed oil paint Gold Ochre is immediately ready to paint.
Our Gold ochre is a warm shade, that is darker than iron oxide yellow, but lighter than Terra di Siena. Gold ochre can easily be processed and dries up well. Linseed oil paints made from earth pigments have the property that they never harden completely and always remain elastic. Especially at high temperatures caused by solar radiation, the paint can more easily follow the strong movements of the wood. There are ochres in every imaginable shade. Our gold ochre is a French ochre of the highest quality. The manganese content is higher here, giving the colour a more brownish tone. As a product of natural pigment, the paint has natural UV protection and is lightfast.
You can choose whether you want the colour with or without a drying accelerator. The siccative additive accelerates the drying process by about one day.
We recommend priming with our cold-pressed linseed oil to saturate the wood.
If you are still undecided, you can order our colour samples.
(Please note: samples are without Desiccants)
Risk of spontaneous combustion! Rags/paper soaked in linseed oil can easily catch fire. Store rags and papers soaked in linseed oil in an airtight metal container or immerse them in water.
