Burnt Sienna is a natural earth colour and is a beautiful reddish, warm shade. The strong red-brown is reminiscent of a sunny autumn day in the forest and gives the colour a very sensual note. The proportion of clay minerals causes a transparency. Linseed oil paints based on earth pigments have the property that they never harden completely and always remain elastic. Especially at high temperatures caused by solar radiation, the paint can more easily follow the strong movements of the wood. Burnt Sienna has natural UV-protection thanks to the natural earth pigments and is therefore lightfast.
similar to NCS S 6030-Y70R (burnt sienna is semi opaque, the colour is therefore much more shining)
