The linseed oil paint Lamp Black is immediately ready to paint. Lamp black, carbon black or also known as furnace black is a very commonly used black. It is a "deeper", more blueish black than our iron oxide black, which appears rather reddish compared with our lamp black. Our dust black looks rather matt compared to lamp black. Lamp black is very thin in consistency, because of the very small size of its pigments. Lamp black dries very slowly. The paint is resistant to almost all chemicals. It has a good opacity and is lightfast.
You can choose whether you want the colour with or without a drying accelerator. The siccative additive accelerates the drying process by about one day.
We recommend priming with our cold-pressed linseed oil to saturate the wood.
If you are still undecided, you can order our colour samples.
